Active Air Filter Replacement: An Easy Task Can Become Even Easier
It’s time for some of us to replace our filters. And put simply, it’s as easy as 1-2-3; no problems or issues on this front. We provided a couple video narratives that walk through how simple it is; check ‘em out!
That said, there’s a few touches that would make it even easier, namely:
- A bag for disposing the old filter – can this be attached or included somehow in the new filter package? The less we have to touch and handle the yucky old filter, the better.
- A tab that makes it easier to pull out the old filter – for some of us, pulling out the old filter is a pain. The slot is too small to be able to grab and pull the filter out, so we resort to clinging for it without a true grip on it, which can be frustrating and take several tries. Some of us try to get clever and grab a screwdriver to try to jimmy it out of the slot…that is after a few moments of being baffled as to where the screwdriver actually is, having to hunt around for it as if it were a hidden treasure. Yes, a few curse words may have been spoken during the ordeal. The fix seems simple: what if there was a tab attached to the end of the filter that we could just grab and pull?
- Clearer direction arrows for inserting the new filter – we’ve been known to put the filters in in the wrong direction and leaving them like that without knowing, including the Active Air filter. Can the direction arrows be made more clear?
